Nowadays, an increasing number of treatments for chronic diseases are developed for use in a homecare environment. These treatments demand complex and sometimes unsafe manipulations from inexperienced users. FALCON is a safety engineered syringe intended to increase protection of standard prefilled syringes commonly used by the pharma industry. It is designed so that it cannot be recapped nor re-used, and to protect the end-user from accidental needle stick injuries. With patient safety at the core of its design, FALCON also takes into consideration the whole treatment lifecycle, from drug formulation to safe product disposal.

Formative evaluation
I prepared and participated as an auditor for a formative evaluation, taking on several key responsibilities throughout the process. I began by drafting a clear and comprehensive protocol to structure the evaluation and outline its objectives and criteria. During the evaluation, which involved nurse participants, I closely observed the activities and took detailed notes to capture relevant insights and feedback. Afterward, I organized and analyzed the collected data to produce thorough documentation. This final report included a summary of findings, identified areas for improvement, and provided actionable recommendations.
